I tried it, it does in fact work, and it works well.

I tried the Phase 90, and the TC Electronic spark boost.

This is a fun tool!

It should shut up some of the people who claim to own a lot of gear and mostly post negative nonsense about stuff they read or try out at guitar center and then add comments and opinions that are misleading...

Re: You guys have to try this.

Sounds like a cool idea, but I spent the whole video just listeting to the demo and kept watching stratman's animated gif XD

Wow.!
This is pretty amazing.
What is the interface from wireless into amp.?
Just a 1/4" at the guitar and whatever it is at the computer.?
Did not think that was possible.
I am obviously wrong.

It just may push Agileguy-101 into complete bankruptcy however.:)

It's not wireless - you just use a 1/8" to 1/4" between your PC/phone and amp.

I forsee my wallet lightening a lot once I get a smartphone :p

Re: You guys have to try this.

they sent me the cable for that and a free pack of strings (nice guys) but I haven't tried it yet as I've been busy.

I figure that maybe half the videos they've done so far have been on a DRRI so... I sorta already knew what a lot of pedals should sound like through my amp, more pedals than I can afford or would know what to do with. But now I can account for my speaker, tubes, etc a little I guess.

Re: You guys have to try this.

My family got home from an event while I was testing this, they thought I was playing and were amazed. My mom was like "You were doing really good!" and I replied "That wasn't me, I'm not nearly as good of a player." and my little brother said "Yeah." :18: He had this look on his face that said "Mom, how could he have possibly transformed into a skillful and soulful player in the 2 hours we were gone?"

Andy at PGS can really PLAY.

Re: You guys have to try this.

Loma Rica.?
Is that Grass valley, Marysville, Sacramento, or something like that.?
I have lived here almost 53 years, and I do not believe I have ever heard the name. Probably a nice place.
best

Re: You guys have to try this.

It'd be really cool if SD could incorporate this with pickups working with an amp. I can't envision any way they could use this to demo how a pickup will sound in your guitar, but seeing how it works with your amp would be a great idea and step closer.

Though PGS is patenting this, maybe SD would be able to make a deal with them? Maybe PGS demoing SD pickups in all the main types of guitars (LP, SG, Strat, Tele, Superstrat)?

It's a very nice place. Pretty windy, and lots of hills. Kinda dry though. It's 20 minutes north of Marysville.

In theory that would work. It would basically just be playing the DI file through the amp (again, I could be very wrong, so more experienced players please call me out if I am). It's basically a slightly different form of remamping, except the point is that it is used for testing not for recording.

Re: You guys have to try this.

That's a pretty dam cool idea! Should make shopping for dirt pedals a lot easier.
