*you lucky* : ->> EDWARDS LES PAUL <<-

Thames

Great White Malice
Hey you all!

Im thinking about selling my Edwards ELP85SD Les Paul replica.

Anyone's interested ?

Superb flametop with those *rare* 3D flames as you move the guitar (see, both pictures show different flames!), playability at its max peak, thick and resonant tone. Amazing both 1-piece mahogany body/neck, cut at the right angle for increased sustain and resonance. All 500k "NOBLES" pots, orange drop caps, DELUXE vintage-style stamped tuners (by GOTOH, very sturdy and precise). GOTOH hardware all the way (TOM and TP).

Has a ding on the lower corner, backside (near the jackplate), very cool, just a war-scar, it adds MOJO :smokin:

The wood is sooooo awesome... pictures dont do justice at all. Finish isnt as "lipstick red" as it looks, very nice cherry burst.

The guitar has a fantastic and mysterious resonance that comes directly from the neck/body joint. You can really *feel* the energy transfer in there. BTW, it has a LONG-NECK TENON!

CustomShop feel for much under a grand.
Asking 695$ :deal:

Why selling : Im buying another Edwards!!, a Jimmy Page replica :smokin:

The body also features the deep SEXY curves (inside curves), that goes deeper height-wise than the edges (binding). You can see it on the pictures, the newer Gibson doesnt have this features, and the original ones (50-60s) actually HAD those deeper curves!

Much more work involved = attention to details = incredible craftmanship = Im Sold! :)

what pups in it?

You have 3 choices :

- Dimarzio Virtual PAF matched set (both with stock nickel covers)
- SD '59/JB (the 59 is covered, the JB is dbl-black)
- No pickups!

The Antiquity/Seth combo is going into my 335

Neck profile is thicker/fatter '58/59 style, not like 60's slimmer ones. THIS NECK HAS SERIOUS TONE :smokin:

As you can see on the picture below, the serial # is written by hand in the neck pickup cavity. You can also see the thick maple cap (not veneer) and the long-neck tenon. A bit messy but now completely cleaned (original pictures when I bought it years ago).

Re: *you lucky* : ->> EDWARDS LES PAUL <<-

gorgeous top on that one...

BTW....The top is def a veneer on the Edwards...over the maple cap of course.

The necks are def nothing like my R8 was....nor anything like the production 50s neck from Gibson or the two R9s I've played. I've never felt anything quite like it. It's comfy as hell for sure....but I'm not sure what profile they copied.

wanna trade it for an 8 pounder?

Jeff,

Yeah, you're right, the flame top is a thin layer, over a chunky piece of maple. The neck is really chunky, I like it. A big fat C shape, commonly called "baseball bat"

An 8 pounder ? What do you have ? Tell me more.
