Your delay/echo unit.

Re: Your delay/echo unit.

I use a BOSS DD-3 for straight digital delay and I also use a Danalectro Dan-Echo for the more analog sounding delays. It features a control to roll off highs/dirty up the echos to be more analog like in tone

Re: Your delay/echo unit.

Rich_S, I always love seeing that board! So nice and neat!

I use a BYOC Digital Delay with a treble roll off filter for that analog effect. I think it's based on the DOD AD80, but it's really a Rebote project or a GGG one.

I've got my eye on a Line6 DL4 with an expression pedal.

Re: Your delay/echo unit.

Boss DD6. I use it primarily as a glorified reverb unit. Occasionally I use it as a delay, too.

Re: Your delay/echo unit.

I had an old tape echo/delay unit years ago, which I can't even remember who made it. My brother borrowed it from me and I've never seen it since. Now I just hook up my guitar straight to the amp and use the reverb unit on it. No thrill at all.

Re: Your delay/echo unit.

I have used this for the past 12 years and won't be changing it any time soon.

Re: Your delay/echo unit.

A CM Delayla. I need something longer though, thinking of a Akai Headrush or DD-3/6.

Re: Your delay/echo unit.

as far as pedals go i have a boss DD20 and i think it is difficult to find a delay with the options/quality of the dd20 at THAT price, in a pedal format.

I also use a Rocktron replifex rack for delays

Re: Your delay/echo unit.

I've been using Boss DD-6 lately (as a delay unit).. It has no extraordinary sounds or feats, does the job though..
I've also considered buying either a Fulltone echo or Electroharmonix Holy Grail.. I'll probably end up with a Hoky Grail as a reverb unit.. :D

Re: Your delay/echo unit.

I have an old Fender Echo - But no tapes...

Now I use a Red Repeat - It's just as good!
