What's your dream guitar, and why? I figured we could talk about our G.A.S. a little here

Me: Fender Lite Ash Stratocaster (in natural ash + black p/g finish). I absolutely drool whenever I play one in a store, and I'm saving up the money to buy one. This guitar is so awesome, I doubt it could be improved, although my inclination is to mod it with a PG once I get it

So, what guitar makes you drool, makes you want to get a credit card out and grab it?

Realistically an R9 in lemonburst, flame or quilt.

The ultimate dream guitar would be a real '59 but I don't see that happening.

How much could you actually get one of these for? I'm talking having it custom made-non fender, but still real quality. Maybe having a lutier make if for you or putting it together yourself. Under $3000?

an alder j-master in surf green with a pink paisley pickguard. all red knobs and pickups voers, switch tips, and tremelo tips, quarter pounder for j-master in the bridge and a vintage for jazzmaster in the neck. j-master bridge

baritone neck: maple with rosewood fingerboard. surf green matching headstock and gibson fretwire with 10" radius. sperzel locking tuners.

There are several guitars that I always come back to...I will own these one day, just not today!

Up first is a Gibson Barney Kessle Custom

Then we have a Disc Top Zemaitis

I have wanted one of these for years too...Fender Bass VI

I would love to have some other killer stuff but those are the 3 that I always come back too...

I actually just sent a message to the guy that made my 'Bird to see what it would cost.

I've got the hardware & pickups, so I'd just need the neck & body.

fender japan has a "kanda" edition rosewood tele. only difference is the body. instead of solid rosewood, it is a rosewood/basswood/rosewood sandwich as well as a maple neck with gloss rosewood board.

a dead mint 1972-75 Les Paul GoldTop Deluxe.... has to have a mahogany neck. One that is like brand new.... And a Hiwatt Pete Townshend signature head and cab from the UK Hiwatt company

Tied for 2nd place would be one of those Pete Townshend Custom Shop Les Paul Deluxes that came out last year

It would be an Ibanez RG 550 yet a neck-through version with alder wings. A few more frets, 27 or 29, angled neck single-sized hum, bridge full sized hum, Ibanez LoPro trem, maple fretboard & neck, 6000 frets, a metallic midnight blue color with white pickups.
