Re: Your Favorite Guitar?

I love how that guitar looks.

As I mentioned in Andrew's thread, mine's just a run of the mill 90's Epi LP Standard, but it just fits me like a glove after all these years... Right now it's got a Custom/59 with Jimmy Page wiring.

Re: Your Favorite Guitar?

is it just me or does it look like you put an upside down bridge pu in the neck spot lol?

no but seriously thats a beauty!

Good eye, dmandude!

When this picture was taken, the guitar had a Jazz bridge in the neck; that's why the upside-down logo.

Nowadays, the '59n has no logo.

Re: Your Favorite Guitar?

I need to get better pics of it but heres my butchered recently reborn strat.. had it for 10 years or so and its my guinea pig for all my experimentations and to me no other guitar comes close to it in terms of comfort and playability. It is pretty much the culmination of everything ive ever wanted in a guitar.. lots of trial and error has gone trough this and it is an on going project as i keep modifying it over the years as my playing style evolves.. just recently installed an old 80s OFR. I always hunt down vintage pieces just for added mojo.. currently has custom shop SD pups in it, has a bunch of battle scars and the once trans white body is starting to yellow, can see the "original white" under the pickguard when i do pickup swaps. I take this thing with me everywhere, ive even traveled with it, and id go as far as dismantling it to store it in a backpack so it can be considered carry on on board planes because ill be ****ed if i toss it in the cargo without supervision... perks of a bolt on neck :bigthumb:

Re: Your Favorite Guitar?

I designed this and helped a mate to build it back in 1994.

One piece Honduras mahogany body, neck cut from same block as body, New Guinea ebony fretboard and volume knob, 59n and JB bridge pickups, bridge, tailpiece and 'headstock' from Washburn Bantam guitar.

After years of playing this guitar, there is wear in the bridge saddles/ rollers and the guitar has been retired until i can find someone to do the fine engineering reqired to get the bridge sorted out. For years I just owned this guitar and my beat-up old 74 Tele Custom, but since this guitar has been off the road, i have accumulated about five guitars to fill the gap.... That's a credit to how dearly i love this guitar.

Re: Your Favorite Guitar?

Jackson Kelly KE2. I have never encountered a more comfortable, better looking and sounding guitar than her. She completes me.

The one I let get away....

Reminds me of my new main squeeze.

I have no idea how I didn't realize before this year, but the Telecaster is the guitar for me, straight up.

This guy needs some parts to be perfect, but I can feel it - this one is going to be "the one."

Real cool, Jeremy. I know that one's got a story. What is it?

Re: Your Favorite Guitar?

Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus. I think it's a '96, but it may be a '98. I'm not at home so I can't look to see. It's loaded with a Jazz/Jazz set of Seymour Duncans. there's not much of a story behind it except it was my very first Gibson and I bought it off of Ebay in 2001.

Re: Your Favorite Guitar?

Although I've been using my Tele more often recently, my '96 G&L Legacy is still my favourite. I've just fitted the Everything Axe set to it, so I need to update my pics!!
