Your Favorite Guitar?

Re: Your Favorite Guitar?

New #1 kicked my old #1 in the pants (this week).

New #1 - Fiesta Red Charvel San Dimas is one of the best playing and sounding and feeling guitars I've ever touched. And I mean that in all seriousness. I was very surprized at how good it feels. Just got it a couple of weeks ago and I haven't even thought about putting it away. I even reversed plans about changing out the stock JB (for now - until that JB turns on me, and I know it will).

Re: Your Favorite Guitar?

Don't know how I missed this thread...

This is my 2001 Music Man Silhouette Special. I put a black Chandler guard on it and routed out the neck slot for a humbucker. One push-pull 500K volume knob to split the pickups and a three-way toggle get me six sounds. The neck pickup is an A2 Screamin' Demon, and the back pickup is a JB8. I'm probably going to switch back to a regular JB and a regular pot with a 5-way blade switch soon, though.

I love the color... it's a limited edition color that was only done for a few years. It's called Gunsmoke Pearl. I also had the guitar refretted with medium jumbo stainless steel frets by none other than Frank Falbo himself, and he did a fine job.

This guitar is light, resonates like crazy, and plays and sounds like a mother.

PRS David Grissom Tremolo Model
This is the most versatile guitar I have ever owned... It's all I need!
Awesome coil taps... very useful single coil sounds.
Yes, It's a Clown Burst! lol It has the beautiful flame top...
But I would have preferred another finish.
My other PRS CU22 doesn't even come close to this guitar in any way.

Marilyn, my white epi LP studio that's a bit worn, she isn't really that much of a catch, per se, but I really connect with her.
She's also very familiar with sandpaper. =)
And, of course, there's a custom 5 in the bridge position, so it sounds like Jesus commissioning his rock&roll angels with a loud roar.
And also, she's got Nigel-like sustain.
=D

Edit: Below is a pic immediately prior to the hobbyist guitar player's version of sex, which involves taking a 30-minute solo and pretending that every little imaginable item in the room is loving every second of it.

This one is my favorite right now!!!!

That thing is awesome!. . . too bad bout that ugly charvel headstock, or it would be my new favorite axe to drool over. Reminds me of Chris Holms budweiser star for some reason. I may have to make one of those now. . . . hmmmmmm
