i didnt know they did bursts on r7. thought they were all gold tops and the r8 was basically the same guitar but burst

I've seen a few. I remember Gibson doing a run of those in the mid 2000s; they were all plain tops and most of them had the seam off-center. They called them R7 refins or something along those lines.

I'd say Iced Tea is my favorite followed by probably Tobacco Burst and Honey Burst.

This is the nicest Faded HCB I've ever seen on an LP Standard. I should have bought it..... it sold for $1999. The next is the Vintage HCB burst on my USA Hardtail:
