One of my two Suhr super teles. Matching specs except for the electronics, trems, finishes and fretboards.

For six years I've played almost nothing else, they are amazing guitars.

There is going to be competition in Aceman's ultimate telecaster threads. Dammit...

All joking aside that is very nice.

One of the most AMAZING Tele shapes Ive ever seen! WOW!

Well,
Ive been fickle as heck for years as far as my number 1.
I finally have it down to 3. haha

I think if I really had to pick only one for the rest of my days would be this girl..

sorry for crummy pix.
2010 Charvel Pro mod. Duncan Jazz/Hybrid. KGC large brass block, claw. (Trem inserts have been changed to Ti, set screws to Stainless and fine tuners to brass since pics taken) She sustains like a LP and screams.

Close Second:
2010 Charvel US CS:
Came with Duncan Jazz/Custom (now custom 8)
Added a KGC big brass block, brass claw, Ti inserts and changed mag to A8

And third:
2011 2008 model LP
Pups soon to be changed to WLH or AIIP or JB n/Distortion

Re: Your Main Axe (Include Pics!!)

ok so I started this thread a few days ago but I think my main guitar has just changed with this new Godin LG P-90 I just got... it rips!! and it has a matte natural wood grain finish that floors me everytime I look at it... pictures can't do it justice. This Godin has Seymour Duncan P-90s aswell that are VERY balanced, Every note has balls! I still love my tele but this thing just suits me better!

Re: Your Main Axe (Include Pics!!)

That red Charvel is super duper, is that the one that Soso was hawking for his friend or something?

I don't really have a number 1. I goof around, like, a lot, so I go between a bunch of tunings. Right now I'm messing around in Drop A a lot and I have a yellow RG350M setup for it. It's pretty much just like TLD's, just without the old jem-style pickup colors, but mine has wacky pickups in it fo sho.

I guess I could post some pics of my crap sometime.

Re: Your Main Axe (Include Pics!!)

this is my #1 for a long ass time. chambered alder over size tele body with maple top. seth lover neck, double screw a2 brobucker bridge

The most recent guitar I bought was one of these and it's really a great guitar. Plays like a dream and the stock Duncan SP-90's sound beautiful. It was hard not to list it as a main player because I have been playing it quite a bit. I guess I'm not a "main guitar" kinda guy. I like variety.

Yeah Canadian made guitars and amps are always wicked IMO but of course i'm a bit biased ;)

If these LG P90s are good enough for Joe Walsh then they are good enough for me!

Re: Your Main Axe (Include Pics!!)

I miss my main squeeze, she has been brought to a local Luthier for some long over-due nut maintenance and some other minor tweaks before I embark across the Atlantic. She's a Warmoth LP but really has the soul of a Strat. She's only been gone for one day and it's the first time I haven't played her at some point through my day in probably 5 years. Chambered Black Korina LP with a Wilkinson two-point trem, Duncan Jazz neck bucker (gold poles and screws from CS floor), STK-S4 Classic Stack RW/RP middle and Jazz trembucker also with the gold poles and screws (all with coil splits on a push-pull). Wenge knobs. The neck is also Warmoth, 24.75" conversion, compound radius, abalone markers, gold frets, Wenge 59 roundback profile with a Ziricote fretboard. Gotoh gold tuners. I did all the wiring and finished this one myself. Was my first project guitar (but certainly hasn't been my last) so this one has a very, very special place in my collection. One of a kind and irreplaceable to me!

Re: Your Main Axe (Include Pics!!)

My main axe is my '96 Les Paul Standard (the cherry sunburst on the left). I bought it new in January '97 and it has been my #1 ever since. It is just a joy to play. The '91 Classic on the right is a looker and a great guitar too but if I could only keep one it would be the Standard. We have history!

Absolutely Gorgeous Pauls. Two of the best I've ever seen, and trust me on this, I've seen a few nice ones.
