Your Next Guitar?

Well - technically, I should not be planning anything as I got my 2021 guitar already.

The Orange Jackson was a lark - and met my "no net spend" since I got rid of a bunch.

Next guitar, has to be a cheap, good nylon string.

Decided to never get another electric; instead I'll mod my Epi to suit my needs. :)

(Used to own a dozen guitars and basses, amps, drumkit, keyboards and more... lost it all in a fire, without insurance. Gave me a different outlook on material things).

Yeah, I really like the Yamaha's.

I'd also like an "Guitarras Altamira"; they are relatively cheap, but solid-top, spanish flamenco-style guitars. My last one was one of those... a beautiful, VERY loud guitar :). With that... complex, solid-wood, temperamental spanish tone :'(. I miss it.

If I manage my dreams, of sticking a GFS "Surface Mount" D'Armond style pickup- just in front of my bridge P90. On top of the lid. With a series/parallell/bridge only switch-

I think I have created... something ... marvelous.

I must do this, before I forget the idea, life moves on- and it never happens... :'( .... seriously.

I just surpassed my 2021 guitar quota. But my next one will be a single cut electric. Everyone should have a Les Paul in their collection, and I don’t have one.

If acoustic, then it’s time for me to splurge a little and get me a Martin dread. D-18 being one of the most bang for the buck Martins, but I want rosewood B/S, so that means adding about $400 more to my budget for a D-28. Or $200 more on top of the 28 and get the one Martin I fell in love with because of the tone, the HD-28. I think after $2500, you’re to the point where you say, what’s $500-600 more?

Already did, and I'm trying REALLY hard to be done this time. I have another Charvel Super Strat project in the works, but that one's already in the books so to speak. Not sure if I'll be able to finish it this year, or if it'll have to wait until next.

This is silly for me to consider, since I haven't even finished building my Warmoth (though I think the parts are finally in), but I've been looking at early 90s Smart Wood LPs. They never caught on, since the bodies are thin (with contours) and they don't have binding, pickguards, trapezoids, etc. I dig the weird woods I can't pronounce, and the satin finishes.
