The new ones do seem really nice, and the partially out of phase wiring is a cool option no one else is doing. Brighter voiced pups sound pretty versatile too.
I'm gassing a wee bit for them too. In a sea of double cut, 24.75 scale, fixed bridge guitars which tend to be similar/same, the switching and c/f rods are cool offerings. I like the old SG2000s, but, man, it's like having the Titanic around your neck.
Why do you want another one of that POS? You can get a used RG655 Prestige in like new condish with the money, real wood, hardcase, DiMarzios. Metallic color too.
