Re: ZEPHYR SILVER PICKUPS
I think there are a lot of us who would love to hear a set of these pickups. I know I would. They almost have a mystique about them now as far as I'm concerned. It's almost romantic for lack of a better term. I'm not the kind of person who blows things off as BS until I hear, feel, smell, whatever. I like being intrigued; it keeps the blood flowing, lol. I remember how I wanted a Gibson Les Paul for so long after I started playing. When I finally got one, it was everything I dreamed plus more. Of course this was in 1980 and I was only sixteen, ha ha. But I got it after I actually played the guitar, which was also the first one I had ever played. I totally understood all the hoopla after I got my grubby hands on one. I'm dreaming that these pickups will be the same thing. Of course at that price range, they are a pickup for a certain sect of the market and I'm sure there are going to be people who plop down the cash for these pickups and will be pretty darn glad that they did.
Maybe these pickups will only give that little bit more that we didn't even know existed because we've never heard them. And for some of us, it will be worth it to pay hundreds of dollars for them to get that. Kind of like some of us lose that fifty pounds, but can't get that last ten off, but you know what? We're satisfied with that fifty that we lost, and darn right we should be. Then there's the people who can't be happy until they get rid of that extra ten. They feel unfulfilled; very unhappy even with their success. So they get liposuction and pay thousands of dollars for it.
The Zephyrs equal liposuction. Can you dig it?
