Thanks man. I'll try and explain how the talkbox works, but it's probably better explained here http://jimdunlop.com/products/electronics/heil/manuals/ht1_manual.pdf

Anyways, the talkbox is essentially an encased speaker. A tube goes into that casing. All the guitars sounds are forced out through the tube. You place the tube in your mouth and shape the guitars sound by just making vowel shapes or whatever with your mouth. The tube and your mouth are next to a microphone and that's what amplifies/records the sound.
