The Schecter, I have another Schecter Tele too. It's a black cherry PT Elite, but the one I posted is a PT Custom, and it is a fantastic guitar. I keep it out and play it quite a bit. I have an S-1 Elite the exact same color. Vintage Honeyburst is what they called it I believe. I've had them since around 2004-2005 or so probably.

Thanks. The PT Custom in the above picture is pretty much identical to a 60's Les Paul neck. The Black Cherry PT Elite pictured below and the Charvel pictured above are much thinner. The Charvel and PT Elite are pretty close in neck shape.

Damn, now I'm not sure which one I should pick.

As you all know, I'm not really a guitar guy although I do mess with them a bit, and I used to think that Tele's where the "Country music guitars. But since this thread was started I really found a new out look on them. Most of the axes posted at quite amazing. I'm digging them now, makes me want to play guitars......almost lol!

Ok - here is how i THINK it will shake out....

There will be a Fender poll
There will be a Non-Fender/build poll
There will be a legendary category - so far only one qualifies. Unless Springsteen joins by tomorrow evening.

There may have to be a Roxie preliminary round as well...

Ok - here is how i THINK it will shake out....

There will be a Fender poll
There will be a Non-Fender/build poll
There will be a legendary category - so far only one qualifies. Unless Springsteen joins by tomorrow evening.

There may have to be a Roxie preliminary round as well...

you'll have enough for a non-fender category and a build category IMO...

While that is a beautiful guitar, I would say the only "Tele" thing about it is the upper horn.

Yeah, but I didn't buy it to be a true Telecaster. I bought it for what it is, and I've always liked the Teleacster shape alot.

plus......

anything goes as long as it is Tele, defined by Tele body.

chris of arabia's is about like geoff's strat was in that category

for 'regular guys' tele's, BTMNs hamer and Rich_S's numerous tele's over the years (including the entry) are my favs
