These on 25.5" scale guitars. Don't have any shorter scale floyd guitars.

They're brighter than many others. I like Optimas with A2 pickups (have a Custom Custom in my Jackson). A2 gives me the mid-chime I need for chords and solos, and Optimas add back in some brightness/clarity on the top.

                Always GHS Boomers.

I go for 9-46 as my favorite. But I'll use 9-42 or 10-46 if drop tuning in a pinch.

Now that I switched my Floyd Special to a Sophia term I have 7 guitars with trems and no FR tremolos.

How have you been getting on with the Sophia now that you’ve had a chance to wiggle it, just a little bit?
                    Lol

                      The Sophia gets great reviews.

Wow I have totally missed knowing about the Sophia. That might be the perfect swap down the road for my rgt that has the cheapy edge2.

They aren’t cheap but they look like they are built like a tank.

How do you all manage playing 9's without snapping them?

I freaking love it. It is definitely an upgrade over the Floyd Special. Solid tone, sustain is unbelievable and the action is amazing. I would say it is 90% there, I need to make some minor tweaks to get it 100% dialed in.
