    • I thought this was a read only area?

      • I've discovered that if I lengthen my strap I look cooler but play worse. I'm still weighing the pros and cons, though I'll probably end up on some sort of middle ground.
You will never understand How it feels to live your life With no meaning or control And with nowhere left to go You are amazed that they exist And they burn so bright
Whilst you can only wonder why

        • Gotta say I love this strap I got during Fender's last clearance with this guitar. It just works.

          • First of all, when it comes to Black Nylon, I think we all would agree it is the 59/PAF of straps, and never a bad choice. I prefer Black Nylon more in this context though. I find it really "tightens" things up, even though they don't thing for the guitar tone...

            • Also, I find that for signature artist guitars, the appropriate signature strap is a must. No one tells you that the guitar, the pickups, etc just don't do it.

for example - Frehley tone with out a 3" leather and silver lightning bolt (not the one cheap Gibson Cotton versions or white printed on leather ones), is simply impossible.

And do you thing HS3's, or YJM's or anything is really going to get that over the top Screaming' Swede tone? Not without a DiMarzio Cheetah strap you aren't. More important than the scallops IMO.

              • And of course, why are the tone chasers and fan boys still discussing EVH after all these decades? Have you looked at his straps? They are all over the place! No wonder nobody can get the tone right. Even if you find the exact pickup - no one ever discusses the strap that was used.

Look closely - three DIFFERENT straps! The guy is all over the place, even though his leaping technique is almost exactly the same.

No wonder Satch is getting side-eye from the fans on Best of Both Worlds tour. Look at the strap - nothing we have ever seen Ed play!

Was there it was awesome. But the Strap was certainly not right...and I feel it did impact the enjoyment of a few tunes weren't "quite" right.

                    • Can you describe what tunes weren't right...and how the strap might have affected them?
