Whatever it is, someone out there will pay something for it, which is better than nothing. Hopefully it will be a user who simply wants to get an old axe back to original specs after doing some repairs on the neck.
If it was a few years older, I'd be very interested, as I can just do most of the repair work in my garage. I have a '59 Strat that no longer has it's original neck. Some day I hope to find an early '59 maple neck to put on it, as it is an oddball 9-hole transitional model, so it could feasibly have had an all maple neck originally. And I have always known it as a maple-necked guitar, for at least 25 years. But I'd settle for a '59 rosewood slab board if the timing and the price were right.
