2 Antiquity P90's for Strat schematic needed!

Re: 2 Antiquity P90's for Strat schematic needed!

It may be a blade instead of a toggle switch.

Re: 2 Antiquity P90's for Strat schematic needed!

Thanks Dave.....i simply want one tone control that effects only the bridge. Any diagrams available?
Thanks!!

Re: 2 Antiquity P90's for Strat schematic needed!

Just select two humbuckers, two volumes, one tone and 3-way switch. The wiring is the same (hot/ground)

Re: 2 Antiquity P90's for Strat schematic needed!

Too many potential hum problems!

So after being concerned with hum, you're still going for 2 pickups that when selected by themselves will hum anyhow:scratchch

And then unless you do some jiggerypokery with one pickup all 3 positions will hum.

Re: 2 Antiquity P90's for Strat schematic needed!

The only thing out of the norm is 2 volumes, & 1 tone ONLY on the bridge. 3-way switch. Thanks!!

Just use a 2-conductor Les Paul schematic, drop the neck tone from the circuit, and wire the 3-way like a Telecaster if you're using a blade switch

Is one of your pups RWRP for hum cancelling middle position?

Lol my thought exactly but I didn’t write it.

Given that both pickups are the same what I would do is putting a dummy coil in the middle connected to a pushpull pot. In case of noise you turn it on. You may lose some highs but P90s should have a fair bit.

Or one of these: https://www.ilitchelectronics.com/hum-canceling-systems/strat-bpncs/

For me, it's a learning experience. We all start somewhere. Advice instead of criticism would be much welcomed. Thanks!!

theres nothing wrong with two antiquity p90's in a strat with 2 volume and one tone and a 3 way tele style switch. should be a very cool setup. as far as the schematic, cant help too much there. start with this:

https://docs.google.com/gview?embed...om/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/2H_3B_2V_1T.pdf

your ants will have two conductor wiring so the hot center wire will go where the black pup wire goes. the braided shield will go where the green/bare wire goes. you can ignore the red/white connection. that schematic puts the tone on both pups. if you want it only on the bridge pup, youll need to move the wire connecting the tone to the switch to the connection from the bridge pup

Re: 2 Antiquity P90's for Strat schematic needed!

So, essentially I'm moving that wire on the bottom tab on the right side of the switch & moving it to the bottom tab on the left side, where the bridge hot wire connects to the 3way, correct? Just ignore those red&white wires since the Antiq's won't have them, also correct? Thanks Jeremy!

Re: 2 Antiquity P90's for Strat schematic needed!

yes you move that wire from the bottom right to bottom left but you also need to move the wire that currently goes from the output jack to the tone pot to the bottom right tab on the switch. see what i mean?

yes, ignore the red/white wires.

Hiya Jeremy.....on your above instructions, do it also need to remove the connection between the 2 bottom tabs on the right side? Also, if i may, i may to choose to go with a 4-way switch so i can put the 2 pups in series as well. Sounded real full on my tele. Can you lead me to a diagram....again, 2-vol, 1-tone, and tone only on bridge? Many thanks in advance!!
