Hi, i'm having a problem wiring my les paul up this way (2 independant volumes, 1 tone, no switches).

I cant seem to make each volume 'independant; of one another (ie one volume must be on at least one for the other one to work, and vice versa).

Can anyone tell me what im doing wrong?

Basically i just want it to work like the Fender Jazz bass wiring (but i tried that too and it didnt work :laugh2: )

Its the difference between fig 1 and fig 2:

Notice in fig 1, that if you take either control to zero, you've grounded the output jack. Doesn't matter where the other control is at, there'll be no output.

By using fig 2 you help that problem but introduce the problem that as you turn the volume down, you increase the "load" on the pup. At half volume, your 500k pots become 250k, and so on and so forth. It will slightly alter the "character" of the pup as you reduce volume.
