NGD, 2016 Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded T, Fireburst

Used in excellent condition, about 7.5-8 pounds, stock. Sounds and plays great already for my style of rock/hard rock. Lowered the pickups a tad to get them less boomy. I do like my Custom 5 and Pearly Gates better on the other guitar so they might be in the future.

I wanted Fireburst because to me it looks different; and a 2016 specifically to remember the year my mother passed away. This is my first Gibson.

Congrats!

I can't speak of the Custom 5, but I love the regular Custom in a Les Paul. So I wouldn't blame ya. ;)

And, sorry for your loss.

I've got a SH-14 Custom 5/P.G.N. set in my L.P.!!! They are IMHO the best, & most versatile, humbuckers that Duncan makes for Set Neck Mahogany guitars!!! Plenty of aggression from the bridge and lots of vintage sweetness from the neck, definitely let's you cover a lot of ground!!!

I've got the same set in my Reverend Volcano Korina Flying V & did have them in my Gibson Midtown Standard Semi-Hollow. I've since pulled the Custom 5 out of the bridge of the Midtown in lieu of a full Pearly Gates set but they sounded equally great in all of them!!!

Have a '93 Studio I bought new, just put a set of WLH bought from JeffB and it sounds good beyond anything I could have imagined. JP stuff I could never catch the tone before is there now (I know everyone says he was using a Tele).

Sounds damn good for a phone recording!

Don't do vertical video next time though! =P

Did you already swap the pickups or is it stock?
