2019 HERITAGE H150 GETS A HUGE MAKEOVER

So, I had the bright idea to take a H150 and turn it into a Silverburst. I've always been a big fan of the Silverburst finish...most people either love it or hate it.

I started with a black 2019 H150 that i picked up used...in really decent condition. 9lbs, 5oz. Medium beefy neck.

Then you insert the lead finisher for the Heritage Custom Shop, Dave Teski, who I hired to add a middle humbucker and re finish the top in tradition Silverburst.

He did a great job! I wired and assembled the 150 today. I put a Duncan Antiquity in the neck, Duncan 59 in the middle and a Duncan Seth Lover in the bridge. I used the factory Pinnacle locking bridge and tailpiece.

It's a really fun guitar to play. Sounds great too!

Looks nice. At least you had the right person for the mods. I might be inclined to swap the Seth and the 59 if it were mine, but you're the one playing it. Are they both bridge models? Or is one/both of them neck models?

I'm one of those that you referred to as hating the silver burst finish. But I have to admit that there is something about yours that looks great. I don't know what it is...maybe the color of the burst or the way it was done, or both. In any case, I love it! Great job.

I like Silverbursts (before they turn green anyway). Usually they tend to look better with ebony boards, but I think the light rosewood somehow works on this one.

I think the rosewood works because of how the silver on the body goes with the inlays. It's nicely colored rosewood, too.

Super cool finish. Love the overall look. I've never really given any thought to how I feel about silverburst but I would totally play this.

If only Heritage would ditch the Melody Maker headstock for a re-design would be an improvement beyond words.
They spend so much time & effort on the bodies & necks IDK why they wouldn't.
