2024 Ibanez S Premium = Instant GAS

Sweet :bigthumb: Really think they are great guitars and personally I would pick one of them over a Prestige. In fact I just did. There was a Saber Prestige I was looking at too for about $150 more than this one available at the same store, but I went w/ this baby (I was always going to lol) ...cuz eh, look at it!

It's true, I'm a sucker for looks :laugh2: but I know this beauty is going to sound great & play like butter ..maybe after a bit of minor tweaking, but I'm pretty sure it will...it's a Saber & it's a Premium ...& in my experience you can't go wrong w/ either :bigthumb:

Yeah my RGT came w/ insanely low action (& zero buzz). In fact, I had to raise it a hair cuz ..personal preference. That thing plays like a dream..

Looks like I'm not the only one..

Prestige Vs. Premium Vs. Standard (Featuring the exact same S1070PBZ Premium model in the OP)

..& there's a 'part 2' video w/ a different player/same conclusion :bigthumb:

Not Saying the Premiums blow away Prestige's, but then the opposite isn't true either. They are both pretty much on the same level with neither being better built/"more solid" or better playing/better sounding..

My prestige (fluence pups, hipshot ibby bridge, maple/ebony neck, mahog body) isn't really comparable to my premium (tone zone/air Norton, true velvet, edge trem, flame maple over bass wood, panga panga multi piece neck), but they both play impeccably and sounds great in their own rights. Ibanez just knows how to make it happen

Still waiting :gurmpy:

Apparently there's a delay shipping it out from the warehouse :dunno:

But yeah....now that I remember this place always took it's time shipping their stuff out..

Well, my Schecter did come with a bag of candy & a handwritten "thank you" note in it's case :p

It arrived a week late too..

Here's the Prestige that got away..

^^ Looks kInda like my Gio ...but w/ pockmarks :laugh2:

I dig the Lo-pro though..

I've never heard the term 'silky oak' before. Weird. Usually you see lacewood as laminated tops, and it has that reptile skin thing going on. I like it.

It's not a bad looking (or playing/sounding guitar). I've actually jammed on it at a store down the road. It looks way better than that ^^ pic in person too. Having said that it's not too far removed from my Gio looks-wise, give or take a little binding & some pockmarks :laugh2:

I still prefer the look of the Premium & as I've said and stand by 100%, the current Premium's are on 'the same level' as the Prestige's as far as pretty much everything is concerned.... workmanship/fretwork/materials /hardware/pups and w/e else imo (& It's not just me saying that either) They're just more eye catching/prettier :D
