2025 is the Year of Purple Guitars --> Let's See 'Em!

It really does seem like purple guitars are FINALLY getting the attention they deserve from players and the guitar market as a whole in 2025!

I know I'm a huge fan of purple guitars and it seems many of us have been bitten by the purple love bug at some point or another.

So, who here currently owns or is lusting after a purple guitar?

Please share!

As for me, I actually picked up 2 purple guitars this year...a Schecter John Browne "Tao 6" and a PRS SE CU24 in "Violet" with a killer top!

I'm selling the Tao 6, simply because it's a bit too "Strat"-shaped for my liking, but the guitar is certainly unique and the finish is gorgeous!

I'm also VERY much lusting after the Kirk Windstein signature from Solar Guitars!

Only thing holding me back is the location of the output jack, which is on the inside of the lower wing...ugh!

Something about rich purple finishes, ebony boards, and big white inlays really speaks to me!

I actually have this concept saved from the builder at Balaguer guitars...it's a custom Espada model:

Well, you've seen mine, but here it is again:

I've always wanted a purple guitar, but they weren't easy to find until about 10 years ago. Mine is a 2025 Sterling Luke, and I have to say, in the sunlight, it looks like the Milky Way. Giant sparkles for days. Like a speedboat.

Technically, they call this "Champagne Sparkle", but it's purple enough for me. This pic was before I put in the chrome covered DD 59's.

20250619_093133.jpgHand built body, nitro experiment gone wrong. Next step is to sand it down, route the binding out so that it becomes a fillet, then try to repaint it a nice God-fearing shade of green

At one point Jolly stained a couple of guitar bodies, one of them a really spectacular purple.
Unfortunately I don't think he ever finished either.

I feel Peter Crossley has made at least one or two lovely examples too.

Wow! Very cool!

Thanks!

I was actually looking for a green Charvel So Cal when that one popped up on craigslist years ago. Checked it out, and it has the nicest neck I've ever played. Couldn't gel with the humbuckers that came with it, so I eventually ended up having a custom pickguard made so I could put an SSL-2 SSL-2 SSL5 combo in, and now it sounds glorious.
