Hey guys. Got a question about a "standard" double pole 5-way toggle switch.
I can see the lugs since they are exposed, and have identified the common and n,m,b etc.
I'm wondering if a standard switch like this would allow for position #2 and #4 to let me split coils effectively on an H/S/S equipped guitar.
In other words, at #2 i want bridge/mid together - both in sc mode, and at #4 I want mid/neck together both in sc mode.
Would a simple 5 way accomplish this, or do I need to get that big kahuna 4 pole superswitch?
PART 2 - If a basic switch WILL do the simple task I ask, that what is the point of having that ultra mega 4 pole switch??? I mean, we only have 5 position to choose from, right? So what is the benefit of having that monster 4 pole switch - unless of course you've got a series of push pull pots to work in conjunction with it, which is probably where that thing shines... Thanks.
