Will 24 watts (with 2 el34's for power) be able to stay clean loud enough, or do you think it will break up really early?

I would say that 24 watts is simply not a lot of clean headroom but really it depends on the design of the amp.

I have a homemade amp 30 watt amp (4 el34's) based on a matchless lightning circuit and it has a ton of clean headroom - I can't imaging a 24 watt would have much less. I've also been trying out a deluxe reverb reissiue (22 watter a/b) and it has quite a bit of clean headroom when using single coils.
