2Hum - 2Vol - 1tone - 3way with phase or series/parallel instead of split coil

only diagrams I can find where there's only 1 push pull refer to split coil. safe to assume that you need at least two push/pull to achieve phase or series/parallel. what i'm looking for is that more natural single coil sound and I believe it's phase (yes/no?) that generates this response from the pickup with this wiring setup? need to know if it can be done and if so, possibly a description and/or point me to a diagram. Thank you, gentlemen.

Split gives you true single coil sound, but is not humbucking.
Parallel gives you quasi-single coil sound and is humbucking. (My preference.)
Phase gives you . . .,well, out-of-phase sound. Most of your low end will cancel.

Split and phase require 1 pp to do 2 hb's.
Parallel requires 2 pp's to do 2 hb's.

Cripes, so many options so many limits lol thanks. So I have to add two push pulls where the two volumes are and wire it up using the SD wiring diagram for 2H/1V/1T/3way/series parallel. But can I have the 1 existing Tone push/pull retain it's split coil function after configuring the Series/Par?

Yes, but keep in mind that you'd need to turn parallel mode "off" before engaging split mode. If you split a pup thats connected in parallel, you kill its output. (No damage, just no sound.)

Edit: Actually, I think there's a way around this. Let me "doodle" a bit.

This would require 4 push-pull pots, but it's do-able. The "split" function overrides the "parallel" function.

I'm showing for 1 humbucker only. You'd have to do this twice, as in, all four pots would be push-pulls.
And, I'm accidentally showing the parallel push-pull upside down. It would be in parallel when pushed down. Just flip the terminals from top to bottom. Or, I can redraw it. ;)

This is great, awesome! This place is like a treasure chest of tips and tricks. So I could just wire the second humbucker the same as that (where *split* is the volume? and parallel is the tone pot?) and wire the second volume like the left side (split) and connect it to the same tone pot (parallel), the same way in the same slots? upside down, of course ;)

Yes. The "switch" is electrically independent of the pots. Wire up any function wherever it makes the most sense to you.

Here it is, the right way around.
