3 perfect guitars

Re: 3 perfect guitars

My Strat
Late 50's/early 60's Telecaster
60's 335

Cheers................................... wahwah

Re: 3 perfect guitars

For me...... I need a few more.

ELECTRICS

Strat
Tele
Les Paul
335

ACOUSTICS

Om sized plat top (I have a Santa Cruz OM)
Dreadnaught sized acoustic (something in the flavor of a D28)
Metal body resonator (tuned to open D)
wood body resonator (tuned to open G)
I would prefer to have a few more acoustics for different tunings & I would also like to have 2 more electrics for slide!

Re: 3 perfect guitars

gibson v - white w/ black pickguard, alt8/59 pups

jackson RR-1 - white; black binding/bevels, DD/PG pups, sharkfin inlays, string through; reverse headstock - bascially that new matt tuck signature but with sharkfins

and to mix it up;
either an ESP Viper STD; white with black BEVELS; DD/PG;

or

a jim root sig. tele - (not because im necessarily a jim root fan, but because thats the SICKEST lookin tele ive ever seen) you guessed it, white w/ black pickguar. oh hell, lets put a C5/59 set in it and call it a day.

oh and all of them would have at least the 12th fret inlaid with my bands logo; and the jackson would have them staggered after the 12th fret; (ie 15th would be over the E/A string, 17th would be over the D/G, 19th over the A/D, and 21st over the B/E)

Re: 3 perfect guitars

All Mahog L.P custom - Brobucker/ BKP Riff Raff n
Tele/ Strat hybrid - Strat body contours, H/S/S so '78/StraBro/ StraBro
PRS McCarty rosewood - Seth's.

Re: 3 perfect guitars

Geez 3 guitars thats tough. Hmm I'd have to go with this then....
Definitely have to go with my '83 Kramer Pacer Special w/ SD '78 model pup

I've always wanted a '57 American Vintage Reissue Strat (not sure which color, either black again or sunburst) but then recently I came across this axe and it just blew me away.

and of course an acoustic, I've always enjoyed Martins.

Re: 3 perfect guitars

At the moment for the kinda music I'm enjoying playing and writing it would probably be a
!) White Jaguar with Curtis Novak Pickups a C shape maple neck and rosewood board with 9.5"radius and maybe a changed bridge (TOM or Mustang) maybe a similar mods to angle as the new classic series jags
2) My dream tele being a thinline with mahogany body quilted maple top, maple neck with rosewood board with rectangular inlays
3) Either a 1964 reissue 12 string Ric 360 with vintage pickups rewound to better vintage specs in Jetglo or a Gretsch Duo Jet with TV Jones Filtertrons.

Re: 3 perfect guitars

Carvin Ultra V with an FT6 bridge and dual humbuckers (PAF Pro bridge, HFH neck)
Carvin Ultra V with an FT6 bridge and 3 single coils (Hot Stack bridge, Cool Rails middle, HS-3 neck)
Carvin DC 127 with the "ST" body option, FT6 bridge, and dual humbuckers (Full Shred neck and bridge)

Wow, I wish I could!

Re: 3 perfect guitars

1. Un-chambered Les Paul
2. Epiphone Casino (elitist)
3. Alder Strat

Covers a lot of territory.

Re: 3 perfect guitars

Basically all i would really need is 3 strats and i have 2 so i guess i'm only missing one... i love my les paul and it sounds awesome but a guitar without the bar just seems to be limiting to me.

Old Fender Custom Player strat, H-S-S config, Custom shop Duncan 78 and Duncan Antiquity Single coils, standard trem, brass nut, vintage strat wireing, scalloped fretboard (not fully but a "custom taper" scallop.. ends at about the 7th fret and is kinda angled so the high strings are more scalloped than the low strings). Thinking about installing a floyd on this guitar tho, standard trems are a huge pain in the ass to keep dune when using the bar...

Charvel San Dimas, with H-H config and floyd. Soon to be installed old JBJ and 59NJ zebras, the necks on these are just great if you find a good one. One knob, one switch, simple and effective no nonsense setup. Will do the custom taper scallop on this one and itll be complete.

All i need now is a Strat in S-S-S config and im set, would need locking trem on this one just pure traditional strat tones.

Re: 3 perfect guitars

3 KxK 7 strings.

An Artisan X30 7 string acoustic made by Emerald guitars.

I'd probably never have to buy another guitar once I had all that.

Re: 3 perfect guitars

Fairly happy w/what I have now, which is much reduced from a few yrs back

93 Strat Plus (Am Std bridge), loaded w/Fralins (SP 43 in bridge)
07 Hwy 1 Tele (saddles replaced w/brass Stew Macs)
Guild D 26 acoustic (low end, but worked on by Wisconsin luthier Bruce Petros-fantastic!)

The third electric would be a Gibson 335. However, if I had a few beers before walking into the store, I could see walking out w/a LP or SG...

Re: 3 perfect guitars

Jazzmaster Style - Hardtail, HSH setup
Black Gibson ES-345 (the Keif guitar - Richards, not Sutherland)
Hamer Artist Korina P90 (Have)

Martin OM-1

Re: 3 perfect guitars

Boy, this'll change for me like the weather, but at the moment, it'd have to be...

1) Les Paul Standard
2) Telecaster
3) Martin D-28

Re: 3 perfect guitars

1 - My G&L ASAT in Vintage White

2 - Gibson DG-335 in Pelham Blue

3 - LP Jr w/P90 in Sunburst

Re: 3 perfect guitars

-A tele, with either humbuckers, or something like QP's, black body, black or tortoise pickguard, and a maple neck
-A black LP, creme pickguard and pickups/pickup rings
-A strat of some sort
-A Taylor acoustic
