Someone should scoop this up! One of the best $400 guitar deals I've seen. Just the black model is at this price.

I'm not a crazy LTD fan but I'd be willing to check those out if I had $400 to spend on one.

They have very heavy, thick bodies. Somewhat thin necks as you could expect from an ltd. The 59 in the neck is excellent, not a fan of the JB in this particular guitar. A covered JB could be traded straight up very easily on this forum for another duncan.

I had an EC401 for a while and really liked it.

It had a thinner than normal body for an LP style guitar and strangely enough I liked the EMG 81/60 combo in it too.

I only got rid of mine in a trade for an amp I couldn't refuse otherwise I'd still have it

They're kinda hit or miss lately, probably nothing that can't be cured with a good setup, just sayin'.

LTD's aren't bad guitars if set up right. Their also great for modding as well. I have a LTD Viper 100-FM which I installed a Sprague .047 Orange Cap along with a new set of Wilkinson Tuners. Sounds great and stays in tune forever. I'm happy with it.

exactly!! Love the black! I had one of the EC 400 goldtops when they were still thick bodied and didnt have the cutaway and all and it was one of the most amazing guitars Ive ever played. Had duncans and an earvana nut. I bought it used at a great deal or else I wouldnt have bought it cuz I dont like goldtops, but the thing killed. Was like one of the best playing and sustaining les pauls Ive ever played and I loved the huge frets.. I sold it cuz I prefer the typical 4 knob setup, but I have regretted it ever since..
They rarely come up for sale either.. there is a NOS one on ebay for a ridiculous sum..

I have never played this particular model but I do own an ec 1000 with the Jb/59 set up. they are a very nice guitar. If i had the money Id scoop this one up.
