4P3T parallel/series/phase wiring.

Hi all, I want to wire a parallel/series/series-out of phase switch using a 4 pole, 3 position rotary switch in conjunction with my standard 3 way toggle. 2 x P90’s. Coil -ve & baseplate/shield wires separated.

I got ChatGPT & Google AI to argue amongst themselves until they came up with a wiring they agreed on. I don’t have a lot of faith they got it right, so if anyone’s able to give it a quick once over I’d be super appreciative. Thanks.

In rotary Pos 1 the toggle functions as standard. Rotary pos 2: toggle bypassed & both p’ups in series. Rotary pos 3: toggle bypassed & both p’ups in series & out of phase.

N+ → 3 way Toggle N in.

• POLE A = N−
• POLE B = B+
• POLE C = volume pot input
• POLE D = B−

Pos 1 (normal):
• Pin 1 Ground
• Pin 4 → Toggle bridge input
• Pin 7 → Toggle output
• Pin 10 → Ground

Pos 2 (series in-phase):
• Pin 2 → jumper to POLE B
• Pin 8 → N+
• Pin 11 → Ground
• Pin 5 unused

Pos 3 (series out-of-phase):
• Pin 3 → jumper to POLE D
• Pin 6 → Ground (grounds B+)
• Pin 9 → N+
• Pin 12 unused (leave floating)

Bare shields stay grounded permanently.
