5150 combo

Hi. I just bought a 5150 combo off of ebay. Due to shipping one of the output tubes is broken. Does anyone know if these have to be biased or are they autobiased? Also are the standard 6l6 tubes good or are there better options? Thanks for any information.

No biasing needed. I'd just buy a pair of matched power tubes and turn it up!

Go for some JJ 6L6GCs.

+1 on the JJ 6L6GC's. Call them up at 503)659-7401 and ask for as hot a set
as you can get without distorting the clean channel. You'll s**t your panties, they sound so good!
