Next time Ed changes manufacturer I'll put a bet on an EL34 head coming out a couple of years after 6L6 heads being released.

I bet Ed gets a great chuckle when he thinks back to the day he first got the "stripes" idea for his guitar. lol
It's probably just shocking to him that the stripes have became such an iconic and identifiable design, and basically his own logo.
