'72 tele ad nauseum

Greetings

I am still considering upgrades to my 72 tele custom (Japanese reissue). I think I will probably keep the wide range humbucker in the neck as that has always been part of this particular tele's appeal. I am seriously considering replacing the bridge pickup with a Duncan broadcaster lead. Any insights regarding how this pickup will work in this setup--I want this guitar to be a versatile rocker while still retaining tele qualities. Anyone have experience with the Rio Muy Grandes. How might this sound in the lead position? Any and all suggestions are welcome.

thanks

Re: '72 tele ad nauseum

I used a Muy Grande in a 50's and Hwy 1 Tele. It sounded nice in the 1/4 Pounder vein but not as good as the 1/4 lber...

Re: '72 tele ad nauseum

I'm am waiting now for a QP bridge pickup from another forum bro. I'm modding my new Tele and have already put an Alnico II Pro humbucker in the neck. It sound beautiful in a Tele. I have several differnt Tele bridge pickups and can find nothing to balance the output with the AIIP, I think the Quarter Pounder will do the job while still retaining the Tele look.
