Alright so this harmonica player came through town who was supposed to be some big shot (no names will be named) and he was playing at the club where I run sound. He started pushing folks around trying to be real rude and crap. He went down to the local music store to rent a harmonica amp (because he couldn't be troubled to bring his own) and proceeded to rent an Ampeg Super Jet. He gets it down to the club and plugs in and turns it on. He starts playing and apparently he just isn't liking what he's hearing.
After about a half hour he gives up and sends his manager down the street (about a block) to the music store to tell them that the amp is broken and he needs another. Well the manager begins insisting that the amp is broken at the store and the store owner (a friend of mine) REFUSES to believe it because the amp worked perfectly when it was at the shop. The manager just won't give up and the owner of the store said he'd come down and hear it to see what was going on before he went through the trouble of getting them another amp.
He gets down to the club and tells him to play and the guy starts playing and IMMEDIATELY my buddy the owner realizes what's wrong with the amp. He walks up on stage, looks at the amp.....
and turns the tremolo off.
LOL
I hate pushy "professional" wannabes who can't operate something as simple as an amplifier.
(For the record, I wasn't there while he was trying the amp or I'd have probably proclaimed him an idiot in front of his band and everyone there for their setup)
