A blast from the past...... NGD

Back in the early 80's I wanted one of these when I got my Artist 300.... So although it's a bit beat up I got it anyway. The back has plenty of knocks as does the back of the neck so I plan on sanding them back to the wood and just oiling them but I'll leave the front and the headstock alone. Nothing to shout about but I like it, meet my new beater.... It's an RS315

I've got an RS135. My first guitar when I was 15. Love the maple neck on mine.

I haven't "attacked it" yet but I think it's the original ibanez/ Maxon? Bridge pick up. I have not even plugged it in to my own amp to see how it sounds either, but apart from it choking a little at 16th fret on the high E it plays and feels great.

Nice score . Yes, the pup is an Ibanez/Maxon - V2, kind of a Super D knock off. Usual Ibanez woods though I don't know if it has an actual plain maple top under a photo flame or just photo flame. The colours were cherry and blue burst, though there was also a purple burst not in catalogues. Trem is called the Hard Rocker.

I've got the 1986 version - Edge, rosewood, one knob and slanted pup à la Eddie.

I like that version w/binding, one pickup and no pickguard a lot more than the rest. If I recall correctly, Kevlar has one of those too. It was really one of Ibanez' best body shapes.
