i just got a poster delivered from an ebay auction that shows ace frehley live on the destroyer tour playing what looks like a gibson explorer.i was very suprised when i first saw the pic on ebay,i ve never seen him with anything other than lespauls. it has what looks like a natural finish.one more thing on the ace,did he use any pedals and yes i am looking to cop his tone on some stuff im working on.so any info on his rigs would be cool i know hes a marshall guy but his sound isnt just a guitar and an amp or is it? i thought his tone on rock soldgers was smokin

that is a kick ass link,i had no idea that ace played ibenez in the 70s,i knew about the washburn abomination.

You can get flashbacks looking at that KISS stuff.....I remember watching Paul bring out a cheap Epi Explorer just to play a few chords on it and BREAK IT...At least they didn't break their nice stuff............

Ace plays an Explorer on the Paul Lynde Halloween Special part of their DVD that is out. Ace and Paul had Gibber endorsements at the time so Ace has an Explorer 2. The Walnut one with the bevels.
