Actives vs. Passives

What are the pros and cons of each? How hard is it to Install active into a passive equiped guitar?

I was also wondering what expereinces anyone has had with the SD actives?

youd need a battery correct? which might possibly mean routing, but i THINK thatd be the biggest thing youd have to do..?

for a while i was addicted to actives but i have found over the last few months that the passsives have a more natural tone and feel
the EMG 81 for instance reminds me of having a overdrive pedal on all the time no matter what you do with it and i came to hate that:yell:
