Advice for several upgrades.

I like to play jazz, blues, rock and get into metal land gain wise. I have a variety of guitars
Bugera V22 amp
Vox ACC15AHW W/Anico Blue
DD7, MXR Reverb, Optical Comp, chorus, flanger and various dirt boxes (I build pedals)

Working on an Epiphone LP Standard for rock and high gain
I have an old 59 Bridge. Is there a downside of dropping that into the neck position of the Epiphone LP Standard? On the site it looks like it's just a bit hotter? Don't know how to read DCR. I have a JB for the bridge position or if there is something better school me.

I want to upgrade the pickups in my Ibanez AS93 semi-hollow for jazz/blues.
I also have a set of Gibson's pulled from an SG standard. 498T & 490R. Would they be any good for the Ibanez??

I'm gonna read up what I can find here... If you can point me to any relevant threads or any advice I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

Re: Advice for several upgrades.

You could totally use a bridge 59 in the neck, especially with a JB. As far as the Ibanez, I am not a fan at all of the 498 & 490. I would say, if you have them, then try them, but I would always pick Seth Lovers for a semi-hollow.

For a long time I favored using the 59b in the neck position. Still do when using a hot bridge pickup. I find the 59b in the neck gives the tone alittle more of a "smokey" blues flavor cuz its a tiny bit hotter. I currently run a 59b/custom 8 combo in my explorer. Cant think of others right this moment, but at one time I had 3 or 4 guitars set up with 59bs in the neck.
