Re: Agile GAS?

Do you have any idea how ugly a white Les Paul with creme pickguard, rings, and gold knobs would be?

Definitely not something you see every day. Not necessarily my first choice, but it has a certain charm to it. I'd consider one if I ran across a good deal. Is it that much different than a white Strat with a white pickguard, knobs, and PU covers, and a maple fretboard? We've certainly gotten used to that lack-of-contrast look. Why not on an LP?

Re: Agile GAS?

Now, I didn't say white LP's look UGLY. I said they look CHEAP. Like they're made of plastic. I guess I just need to see woodgrain on the front of an LP (I was going to say just "wood" but I can imagine the flack I'd get for that!).

Come to think of it.... I DID have a solid black LP Custom with gold hardware that looked pretty classy.

Re: Agile GAS?

You know what's weird?

I find that white LP with the gold speeds and the cream pickguard and rings to be hideous ... yet it's very close to the Gretsch White Penguin, which I love.

I have strange, conflicting tastes.

Re: Agile GAS?

Agile GAS ? . . . ME ? . . . probably not.

But i've come across this Agile, and i have to say, it looks really, really good.
And for "only" 400 bucks, is does look appealling as a 2nd or 3rd back up guitar. (if you like Bigsbys)

Yes, please try to explain it to us.

Re: Agile GAS?

Madonna plays a Les Paul with a floyd rose?

I think someone divided by zero.

Re: Agile GAS?

That is somethigng Madonna would love to have.
In fact, AFAIK, she actually have an all white LP these days.

And if Madonna buys an original Burst, everyone has to get rid of theirs? Hey, if you want to figure Madonna into your guitar tastes and purchases that's fine, but you won't see a lot of us doing it too.

Re: Agile GAS?

Should I even bother, or just take an antacid?

Now, the "real" Gibby owners will probably groan and say, "Not another 'it's a really good deal for an LP clone' knucklehead!", but...

If you really want that as your christmas gift I will contribute to that fund.
I will pledge $5 to your GAS cause it's a horrible condition lol.

Seriously someone should set up a fund for Reg to get him his dream!
