Hi guys,

I'm thinking of getting a pair of APH1s Zebras for the bridge and neck of my Les Paul Can someone give me teh answers to the following questions:

1. When ordering is there any difference in the product ID between teh neck and bridge PUP? Is is APH1 Bridge and APH1 Neck or something else?

2. Is the reverse zebra simply a cosmetic variation or does it have any bearing on sound?

3. Is there really any difference between the Slash Custom Shop Alnico Pro IIs and the standard ones (apart from price, !!!LOL!!) :yell:

Thanks guys.

1. There is a difference between the Neck and Bridge versions.
2. The Reverse Zebra is cosmetic, the color of the plastic is different.
3. Don't know, I would guess yes though.

Re: Alnico Pro II Zebras

the neck and bridge models are wound slightly different, bridge slightly hotter than the neck and i have no idea about the custom shop slash pups

Re: Alnico Pro II Zebras

Thanks for the responses. I'm really tempted to go for the Custom Shop PUPS - such a die hard slash fan!!!

Re: Alnico Pro II Zebras

I do love this pickup, though, I want to get the Slash one, and I heard that Seymour Duncan can do me a custom order of the Slash signature APH-1 in Blue, for this guitar I want to have built, so, it's all good.
I love these pickups, love the set, I like these pickups with guitars with 500k pots though, I've tried them with guitars with smaller or cheaper pots, I think the pots and capictor are just as important as the pickup is.

I am a big fan of the current "regular" A2P's.

The Slash A2Ps are single conductor and scatter wound. I'm ordering one today :)
