Here's the secret to amazing tone:

Remember, tone is subjective, so even if it sounds like crap, it's amazing.

That sounds like MSM spin shenanigans almost. So what you are saying is it can be so bad it is bad, as in awesome. Kind of like if you go left long enough you circle back and are right? Or three rights = 1 left. I am sensing the ToAnZ is somewhat complicated...

But only if you got a good enough deal on it. If you pay under $20 for an RP50, it actually sounds better than a Kemper. If you pay under $10, it sounds better than a Dumble.

You have that backwards. The Kemper can be all amps where a Dumble is simply one amp. No ToAnZ Tricks please. This is a really big deal and not to be fooled around with. People on the inter webs will see this and be led astray if they get bad information.

The Kemper is merely a digital photo of an amplifier. You cannot play through a guitar through a photograph! Only a genuine Dumble amplifier brings real toob toahan to the table.

You can play a guitar through a real Dumble. In the Matrix. That's what a Kemper or Helix is.

BTW -people make huge deal about Dumble amps.... but honestly, I find the tone itself easily replicatable

It's a classic clean Fender except altering the scoop with mid low bump, and some extra chime in the 4-8k range.

Now the amp playing response playing standing in front of it, I wouldn't know about.
