will i build this? eh, prolly not, but the idea popped in my head given my extreme boredom at work

ok, class A, 1 kt88, 4 channels

channel 1 - marshall major
channel 2 - "bright" version of marshall major
channel 3 - hiwatt dr101
channel 4 - "bright" version of hiwatt dr101

I'm thinkin this'd be awesome for really thick classic tones, what do you think?

I'm not lookin to nail the tones, just use the preamps/tone stacks

and IIRC blackmore used kt88's & he had awesome tone

the class A thing is just something i threw in i guess

This is one of 6 amps, I built w/ my friend/boss. It's a single ended, Class A, KT88 powered, 20 watt combo. I'd concur w/u, Drew, the KT88 is one great-sounding tube! Lots of honk & quack going on there, if that makes sense. Just wanted to chime in, and declare some love, for the KT88!

that would be a cool amp but i wonder how well it would turn out. Also, its Dr103, not 101
