Hate to be so pessimistic, but there isn't one up there in the poll that I'd seriously buy or consider. Mesa looks about the best out of that selection.

Not much there in that poll for me to like.
If I HAD to choose (ie that's all a rental firm have) I'd probably go for the marshall.

the JCM2000 is pretty darn decent when played loud. A band that played at my school one time had one and it had a very powerful marshall rumble. I presume he dialed in a low gain more open cranked tone because it sounded very marshallesque in the rumble. If you're going to play live and loud, don't doubt those great marshalls, but i'd much prefer a vintage series or handwired.

Amen to that!
I think you need to do some more amp research, why dont you start a thread describing what tone you are looking for with which guitars and effects, and then let everyone recommend you an amp...you will get some fantastic replies garunteed.

I have played the Create Blue Voodoo amp and its not that bad at all. good low end sound, great for the new stuff...metal, and punk.
I have yet to try Mesa...cant find them. Guitar Center never has them :blackeye:

Yea my cousin has a triple rec and i still havent gotten a chance to play it. Forget trying it in a store cause they wont let you do **** with it in terms of volume. I know what you mean about not being able to really play an amp to see if you like it, but I bought my Laney without every playing on one or really hearing a raw recorded sound. Im not really looking back either...

hell yeah! Plexi's are the quintessential marshall tone. JMP amps from 75-79 are pretty good too and go for alot less.

plexi's do the plexi thing LOUD and PROUD. but oh man, when you put high gain preamp tubes in, and juice a compressed signal with overdrive or Rat distortion into it, it will RIP your freakin face off!!! I love it!:burnout: :burnout: :13:
