I'm an Andy Timmons freak...I mean I'm legitimately obsessed. As I'm sure some of you know, Andy is a big proponent of the Xotic Effects BB Preamp, I've been thinking about getting one basically ever since I learned he used one on his board, unfortunately I found out that they made an AT signature pedal long after the first batch was sold out, so when I found out that they were reissuing one, I bought it as soon as humanly possible.
It really does get that chewy, lead sound that Andy is renowned for when you put it in front of an already distorted amps, and it gets an AWESOME slightly broken up, Little Wing/Lenny/Electric Gypsy tone on the clean channel of an amp. It blows my Maxon 808 out of the water (although that's a fine pedal as well) in terms of versatility, the EQ is extremely powerful and you can get some awesome tubescreamerish, low gain, mid boosted sounds just as easily as you can get a crunchy, agressive, scooped sound.
