Re: Another NICE Dean Hardtail.

Would you rather buy a better made and playing guitar than buy a guitar strictly for resale value???? :smack: Believe me, I've been down that road.....plsu there is that 10" fretboard radius on the PRS models.
Papersoul nailed it right there. Just how important is resale value to you? There are many musicians that found one guitar they love and stuck with it throughout their lifetime.
Dean = more bang for the buck. I'd love to compare my Dean Chafin Del Sol with any Gibson hollowbody. It's a beautiful instrument for only $550. Yes, if I want to sell it, I probably won't get near as much as I'd like, but the guitar sounds great, so why would I want to?
The Hardtail IS Dean. It's their best line. You don't get anything, but a professional instrument when you invest in one. PRS makes fantastic stuff, but you pay through the roof. I'd rather buy a guitar that was decked out with top of the line woods for 1400 than a guitar that is plain looking with not as quality woods for around the same price.
I do love PRS, but they are way overpriced. You could build a Warmoth copy with better electronics and hardware and be halfway towards a new amp
Dean Zelinsky knows his stuff and he's been supplying musicians like ZZ Top and the dude from Nitro for practically ever. He maintains great quality control over his guitars, unlike Gibson or Fender. You can buy one online and be reassured that it will sound great unpluggged or plugged in.
Give Dean a little time and they may eventually get to the point the other big boys are, then you'll have precious resale value.
