Another reason why a PG set rocks!

Now this is obviously just my opinion and is down to my taste and my rig but:

I use a Marsall 100w valve head cranked to 10 and then tamed with a power brake. I use an LP with a PG set and the only pedal is a cry baby. When a Marshall valve head is cranked all the way you get a very warm tone and with some guitars you can lose too much top end. To my ears the PG set sound perfect in this situation, that extra top end sizzle ensures that you get all of the sweet warmth but that it doesn't turn into bass heavy mud. Don't get me talking about the neck pup - oh my God!

Just wanted to share my thoughts! My band played last night and I just loved my tone (shame about the playing).

BTW, the PG set was recommended to me by guys on this forum after I posted my influences and the kind of sound I was trying to capture last March. How right you guys were! Thanks!

While I cannot be accused of giving you any advice :D, I want to congratulate you on the great tone! Enjoy! I'm a fan of the PG pus as well.
