Antiquity humbucker demo

Found this and it is an excellent representation of the Antiquity sound in a Les Paul/Marshall combo.

Too overwound and compressed for my taste... Just kidding! That's the tone right there.

mine too! they take mag swaps really well too. i had a uoa5 in one for a while and it was great. still love the a2 though, mmmm chewy mids

I assume from the video the player is running into a BE-100, and I can tell you from my own experience that is what Ants sound like into a boosted Marshall.

Still my favorite humbucker :D

They day I finally get my LP to sound like that, I'm going to record it, put said recording on an endless play loop, lie down on the couch naked and never get up again.

Ha, Ha. Good show. I love that. I think I would be motivated to do the same.

As good as any tone I have ever heard in my life. I mean EVER, damn man!!

Found out the amp used was a '73 Marshall Superlead modded by Dave Friedman.

Dave seems to be at the top of his game right now. So many good amps of his out there and everyone seems to simply love them. I've wanted a Splawn Quick Rod for years and will eventually get one, but Dave's new BE50 makes me seriously doubt my Splawn obsession. There are a handful of amp masters out there and Dave seems a great one.

A 73' Super Lead modded by him would be fantastic to own, if not a bit loud.

He certainly has the touch as far as I am concerned. Had I started with the BE-100, I doubt I would have ever bought another amp.
