Any Dean Cadillac lover?

Re: Any Dean Cadillac lover?

Wanna flip it? hahhahahahhahh! Talk to me, Aceman. You know I'm a girl and I need a Pink Cadillac (I know a painter). I've got a 2007 HardTail Select, all original, and it's gonna stay thataway. My love Jeff sold it to me.
How'd you do that? I'm feeling a little snarky.
A triple bucker?

Re: Any Dean Cadillac lover?

For me, the 3rd pickup just gets in the way, much like adding a 2nd girl to the mix. It looks really good sitting right there in the middle, and it might even sound good, but you can't hit em' both at the same time anyway. So I'd just rather choose neck or bridge and do a better job on just one.

Plus I always catch my pick on the middle pickup. And for those of you who know, it's NO fun to catch your pick on the 2nd girl if you were aiming at the other one. Messes up the rhythm...........

You are always good for a lesson. You're right, it looks very alluring, but I haven't played one or anything like it. You are SO BAD. Does Mrs. Jeff know how you talk? As a writer, I appreciate it. :notworthy

She does sincerely enjoy it and sometimes even encourages me along. My sense of humor is one of the things that first attracted her to me, along with my rugged good looks, humility, humanity and my well defined educational background & outstanding literary capabilities; both written and verbal.

Sometimes she does just shake her head though, so there's that..........

Edit.... no, I didn't sell number 2. Well, technically I guess I did. #1 is my Cherry Sunburst, #2 was Transparent Blue, #3 was Amber Quilted and #4 is Spalted Maple. That's the order of acquisition. I kept #1 and #4. But, number #4 is now #2 in terms of Hardtail's. It needs a new nut. I didn't realize how badly until I had the frets leveled and dressed last year. #1 has always been #1, since I bought it in 2003 and it will always be #1.

I need to tell the amazing story of this guitar and about how I sold it and spent 10 years looking for another in the same finish, and how it finally came back home.

Ya know, sometimes you are so effing cool that I can't stop thinking about you. Sometimes thinking of you will cause me to seize and squeak all at the same time! It's like I have to check myself... did anyone hear that??? Must have been a groundhog, LOL. Don't mind the fact that I have that pic you sent me plastered all over the roof and walls of my bathroom.

It's completely innocent, even when I squeak.

Re: Any Dean Cadillac lover?

I’ve test driven many Caddies from different eras and countries of origin but the only ones that really spoke to me were the Czechs. That thin body makes them by far the comfiest for a little fat man.

I still have one but unfortunately, I’ve been off forums so long and am so lazy I can’t be bothered to try logging into photobucket lol
