Frito's Better Half
I've got an old old mic that my grandfather gave me to sell, but I dont know nuthin about mics. It was made in the early 50's (I think), and its one of the bullet styles ones, permently mounted on the stand, w/ a 15 foot cord with a 1/4" plug. On the mic itself it says:
Turner Dinamic Microphone
Model No.: 33D
SN: 7866
HI DHMS
Ceder Rapids, Iowa USA.

Thats all I know about it. Can any of you help me out, and maybe give me a price quote? I would much rather sell it to one of the SDF guys than on FleaBay.

.....Ok, I just found some info on it. http://www.jt30.com/jt30page/oldsite/micids/turner.html Its the second one, but I have no idea what any of that means.

Re: Any info on this mic?

I found out that the mic was common in the 50's, but the frequency range is "unusable" for todays music. The highest is 9,000hz and the human hearing range is 20,000hz. I still wanna fetch about 150 for it, but I dont have an ebay account, nor do I fell like going through the trouble of signing up for one. Every time I do, it wont let me log in or bid on anything, even after I've logged in several times.
