Looking at one locally and have listened to clips on youTube and it sounds pretty sweet. Just wondering if any one has experience with this 50 watt 12" speaker?

Took out the Celestion G12M-70 and installed the Eminence JS-1250. Took away the “spikiness” that I wasn’t digging with the Celestion and definitely made the sound much “beefier/fuller”. Will spend some time dialing it in and getting to know it but, based on first impressions, I think it’ll be staying in the Rivera.

I was initially considering a Eminence Red Fang Alnico. Honestly never heard of him and ran across the speaker so I checked out a few clips with him playing the speaker. He definitely covered a lot of ground very nicely in his playing in the clips as he was trying to show the versatility of the speaker.

sorry never come across that speaker, but i do love experimenting with all kinds of drivers and especially eminences. Looks like a great speaker. Glad it worked out!

At $60.00 for a "new speaker", well worth it even if it doesn't stay in the Rivera.

Thanks! I parted ways with the Rivera R30 after I picked up the Mesa Express 5:50 Plus Head. May have to pull one of the G75T-12 and try it in the Mesa/Boogie Cab.
