Anyone else Wax their Axe

No. Can’t say I’ve ever done that. I wipe mine off sometimes. That’s about it.

I wipe them down after I finish playing. I also clean & condition the fretboards and polish them when I change strings. I have been through a lot fretboard cleaner, conditioner and polish over the years. There is also Carnauba Bodygloss, basically Wax, in my kit, but I have never used it. The polish always seems to get the job done.

Every once in a great while when I’m getting it in tip
top shape, but then it’s greasy so i don’t do it for another 4 years.

A couple times a year I hit the boards & necks with Burts Feed & Wax. Lately, I've been doing a light polish on the bodies with it, too.

I use Birchwood Casey gunstock wax on the neck of my Ernie Ball. Every year, there is a process of sanding the neck with 600 & 1000 grit paper, cleaning with Murphy's Oil soap, and using the wax. I wouldn't use any wax on hard finishes, though.

I haven't *yet*, but I do use Meguiar's polishing compound to get rid of swirl marks every once in a while.

If you posted some before and after pics I feel more of us would become inclined to do so...

I use turtle wax once in a while on my guitars. every couple years. takes some of the surface scratches out and shines it up a bit, gives it a nice coating for a while too

Actual wax can build up and cause the finish to develop a dull haze. It isn't a car.

agreed.
The synthetic waxes don’t seem like traditional wax.
From the turtle wax site description “Use this product on both wet and dry surfaces for incredible gloss, slickness, water repellency, and heat dissipation for increased UV protection”

I use it on cars,guitars,motorcycles,tablet screens,sunglasses…
After a day or so the graphene infusion cures-it gets hard.Dust, sweat etc wipe off easily.

Anyway that’s what I do. I like it.

I have waxed several guitars over the years, but not all. Depends on the finish. Yes, it is a good way to clean the guitar, get rid of minor surface scratches, etc.
I also have a spray bottle of Martin guitar polish that I bought in maybe 1990 that will last forever because a couple sprays is enough to do the whole guitar body.

I like carnauba wax on sticky/glossy necks, feels great and is even recommended by a master luthier at big F.
Thats why I decided to try it and I like it, no cloudy build up yet. Is that really a thing?
