anyone ever try out one of those gilmore jr 1/2 watt kits?

i came across their site yesterday and i must admit that the whole thing really intrigues me. how do they sound? i'm thinking about ordering one and maybe an avatar 1x12 after another paycheck or two.

I bought one already built a 2watt and didn't really like it myself.
It wasn't nearly as clean sounding as a GA-5 I had. It sounded muddy to me.
Somebody else might have a different experience with it than I did though.

what kind of cabinet/speaker setup were you running it through?

what kind of tones can these things do well? can it do any decent mildly overdriven sounds? i'm kind of looking into one as a practice amp for when i'm away at school, and i think it would be fun to build.

Unfortunately the picture is gone its been six months or so since I bought it.
I only used it like a combo.
It may be alright if new or so I don't know. But right beside that GA 5 it sounded muddy.
I of course don't know what it had been through since it was at least second hand.
I know how it sounded when I had it and I wouldn't buy another unless I got to play it personaly.
